A Message from Shaheen Sheik-sadhal

Dear FUEL Fam,

It has been my deepest pleasure to serve as both an inaugural Board Member and the President of FUEL this past year plus. Look what we’ve done. With patience, facts, commitment, and heart, we have built this incredible community together. A town full of signs and hats. Neighbors engaged. Brave students advocating for what they believe in. Parents knowing way more about the Brown Act than we could have ever imagined. We did that together, and I’m so proud of us. The work has been so impactful, and there is so much more to do heading into November. We cannot let up. I know we will not.

To that end, it is with bittersweet feelings that, as of today, Friday, May 22, I have formally resigned as the President and Board Member of FUEL. But not to worry, I will forever be a part of this community and my dear friend, Emily Rolfing, has stepped in as FUEL President. We are in very good hands.

I’m also thrilled to announce that I will be running for School Board this November. Look out for more information right after the long weekend. Enjoy the holiday. Rest and rejuvenate. Come back and come ready!

With love,

Shaheen
